| Description | A rickshaw puller waits for passengers near the Stuart Hogg market. For the poor rickshaw pullers, it's a double edged sword. The Government on one hand promises them a better alternative and does nothing, while many members of the public do not patronize them on humanitarian grounds. Even me, personally, wouldn't let a fellow human being pull me from A to B using his own strength. Hence with very few takers, the already sad plight of the human powered rickshaw pullers deteriorates even further. (May 2009) |
