Microscope: MICROmed (XS-5520). Erythrocytes (red blood cells) are cellular structures involved in the respiratory function of the blood. They have the shape of biconcave disks, normally occupy about 80% of the total number of erythrocytes. Erythrocyte diameter 7.1-7.9 μm, edge thickness 2.0-2.5 μm, in the center - 1 μm. Physiological excavation (depth in the center of the erythrocyte) allows you to increase the surface area of the erythrocyte and accelerate its oxygen saturation. The plasma membrane of the erythrocyte has a thickness of about 20 nm, its surface contains sialic acid, antigenic determinants, adsorbed proteins. Еритроцити (червонокрівці) - постклітинні структури, що беруть участь в дихальній функції крові. Вони мають форму двовігнутих дисків, у нормі займають близько 80% від загальної кількості еритроцитів. Діаметр еритроцитів 7,1-7,9 мкм, товщина краю 2,0-2,5 мкм, у центрі – 1 мкм. Фізіологічна ескавація (заглибина в центрі еритроцита), дозволяє збільшити площу поверхні еритроцита і прискорити його насичення киснем. Плазматична мембрана еритроцита має товщину біля 20 нм , на її поверхні містяться сіалові кислоти, антигенні детермінанти, адсорбовані білки. Тривалість життя еритроцита 120 діб.
