Notes | The present drawing was probably made as a preparatory study, either for a particular painting or as a working model to be kept in the studio. It has been connected with a painting of the Crucifixion attributed to Hugo van der Goes in the Museo Correr in Venice, and although there are some slight differences between the two, notably in the positioning of Christ’s legs, the connection is a convincing one [1] | |||||||||||||||||||||
