Tjänstgjort vid generalstabens topografiska avdelning under sommararbetena 1896, 1897, 1898, 1901 och 1908 samt vid avdelningen 1902—1905, 1908—1935. Medarbetare vid Nordisk världsatlas utgivning (Svenska röda korset) 1926. Ägde fastigheter i Stockholm. RSO, RVO. Gift 1895 17/1 med Anna Ebba Maria Gjörud, f. 1871 29/5, d. 1953, dotter av bruksägaren Ole Gjörud (d. 1896) och Ebba Amalia Wikner (d. 1923). Barn: Erik, f. 1895, jur. kand.; Olga, f. 1896, gift 1919 med bankdirektören Per Gustaf Wahlberg, f. 1891, d. 1949; Hugo Fredrik, f. 1900, civilingenjör, gatudirektör i Stockholm, gift 1932 med Ceres Olson, f. 1900.
