[edit]| Description | BREL (Derby) Class 158/0 (Cummins 400hp) "Sprinter Express" Standard Mk.III 2-car dmu No.158 777 of East Midland Trains in a very strange hybrid livery - originally in Northern Spirit Trans Pennine plum with large gold "N", when First Group took over the TP franchise they stuck a large blue vinyl strip on the lower body side obscuring half the "N". When this particular unit was leased to Central Trains, they in turn replaced the blue vinyl strip by a plum one of slightly lighter shade to the original plum and which still obscured the lower half of the "N"; they also attached large white vinyl stylised "C's" to each end . Then this unit was leased to EMT, but as the photo shows, it carries on sign of its new ownership at all! At Derby on a service to Matlock, 04/08. | |||||||||||||
