[edit]DescriptionHuacaaznapuquio4.jpg | Pertenece al Horizonte Tardío, habría funcionado como parte de una red de caminos comerciales. Julio C. Tello ubica un camino que unía Pachacámac y Ancón, pasando por este sitio, sus funciones radicarían primero en ser un centro alfarero, pero probablemente más importante como órgano de almacenamiento y distribución en un contexto de continua expansión territorial y étnica donde se buscaba fomentar la reciprocidad inca. Debido a la presencia de cerámica, pisos rojizos y tiesto recocido hace intuir que una población dedicada a la producción de cerámica inca habitara en sus alrededores. En cuanto a su construcción destaca el uso del tapial, y por su similitud a otras construcciones del Rímac en cuanto construcción amurallada, habría sido usada por la élite mientras su construcción y mantenimiento corría por cuenta de poblaciones móviles como mano de obra. Su ubicación era estratégica, pues colindaba con un humedal el cual proveía el recurso hídrico necesario no solo para las actividades alfareras, sino que debido a su carácter más perenne que los canales de los ríos, concentraba producción de flora y fauna silvestre, se dice que en la Colonia fue un sitio de caza conocido por los virreyes. |
