Deutsch: Entwurf des Hypersonic-Technology-Vehicle HTV-1 im Rahmen des FALCON-Programms der US Air Force und der DARPA
Der US-Konzern Lockheed Martin erhielt als einziger im August 2004 den Auftrag, HTVs für das Gemeinschaftsprogramm FALCON der US Air Force und der DARPA zu bauen. Die ursprüngliche HTV-Konstruktion (HTV-1) sollte eigentlich im September 2007 Flugtests absolvieren, noch unterstützt von Booster-Raketen, wobei eine Geschwindigkeit von Mach 19 (!) in einer Höhe von 30 bis 45 Kilometer erreicht werden sollte. Im Mai 2006 wurde der Bau von zwei HTV-1-Flugzeugen allerdings abgebrochen, weil der Zulieferer C-CAT ernste Probleme mit der Delaminierung der kurvenförmigen Anströmkanten der Außenhaut der Maschinen gehabt haben soll. Stattdessen soll nun direkt zu den Projekten HTV-2 bzw. HTV-3 übergegangen werden, die für den Zeitraum von 2007 bis 2010 geplant sind. Die dabei zu entwickelnden Maschinen sollen bei rund 3,5 bis 4,5 Metern Länge etwa 900 Kilogramm wiegen. Auch sie sind für den Start noch auf Booster angewiesen, wie es bei Andreas Parsch heißt. |
