English: Howwood railway station, Renfrewshire Opened in 1876 the Glasgow & South Western Railway on the line from Glasgow to Ayr, this station closed in 1955. It was rebuilt and reopened on the same site in 2001. View south west towards Lochwinnoch and Ayr. In 1840, there had been a short-lived station immediately behind the camera position, which only lasted a few months. See NS3960 : Howwood 1st railway station (site), Renfrewshire. |
