| Description |
English: Howden Minster, Howden, East Riding of Yorkshire, England The ruined eastern end of the church which has a history dating back to the 10th century. For many years it was a base for the Prince Bishops of Durham. The present church was rebuilt in the 13th century. It suffered neglect and vandalism through the centuries but the western end was restored after a major fire in 1929. |
