English: Howard Town Mills from High Street East The conversion work continues.
It is not so long ago that this was a working textile mill. The last company to occupy it was called Lux-Lux and manufactured underwear almost exclusively for Marks & Spencer. It did not survive long after the retailer's decision in the mid-late 1990s to abandon its long held policy of sourcing all of its clothing from within the UK - Shame on them! |
