[edit]DescriptionHow do you make a green Eiffel Tower? (8468552291).jpg |
Engineers from the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Sacramento District (from left to right) Maj. Rob Dion, Levi Bowers and John Parrish, judge a student project on building an environmentally-friendly Eiffel Tower during EDGE (or Engineering and Designing a Green Environment) Academy presentations at Antioch High School in Antioch, Calif., Feb. 8, 2013. The engineers used their varied fields of expertise – electrical, mechanical, civil – to help judge projects and guide students on future endeavors. The school's EDGE program is part of a national foundation intended to prepare young people for college success. The week-long student presentations included written reports, scaled models and slideshow presentations of significant engineering feats they selected.
