The magnificently carved pillars of the Sabha Mandapa that speak of glories past, each carving in all its intricacies, an offering to the deity of the Sun Temple, the mighty Lord Surya.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The open gathering hall of the Modhera Sun Temple Complex is decorated with many carved pillars that hold up the equally beautiful dome-shaped roof. The delicate filigree work on the pillars depicts many unknown deities and divine figurines in various postures that also adorn the exterior of the Sabha Mandapa.
