Description
Nederlands: WERKENDAM - De houten loop- en fietsbrug over de Dijkgraaf den Dekkerweg in Werkendam wordt gerenoveerd.

De aanbruggen zijn al enige tijd aan vervanging toe. Het hout op de aanbruggen is in zeer slechte staat. Daarom is men deze week begonnen aan de herstelwerkzaamheden. De brug wordt vaak gebruikt voor fietsverkeer naar bijvoorbeeld Fort Bakkerskil. De brug verbindt de Schans met de Krouwerskade. Het bovenste deel van de brug, de hoofdoverspanning, is minder oud en dus niet aan vervanging toe. Dit werd al eerder vervangen door ongelukken met te hoog verkeer in 2012 en 2014.

Naar verwachting gaan de werkzaamheden 2 weken duren, tot die tijd moet men omlopen of omfietsen.
