[edit]DescriptionHouses on The Mount - geograph.org.uk - 1097729.jpg |
English: Houses on The Mount The Mount, and its extension of Mount Vale rival Bootham for the finest buildings on the way into York. Those on Bootham are generally older, with much Georgian architecture, whilst on The Mount there is a move towards rather grand Victorian villas. The houses on The Mount begin at the city end in a fairly modest way with this attractive brick and pantile pair of around 1820. |
