The village of Thurlton - situated 22 kilometres south-east of the city of Norwich, and 15 kilometres west of the Suffolk coastal town of Lowestoft - is located on the edge of the marshes south of the River Yare. Thurlton has about 800 inhabitants including over 200 children and young people under the age of 19. There is a village shop and post office and a pub owned by members of the community > 1510882
