| Description |
English: House on Cliffs in Innellan, Cowal Peninsula, Argyll & Bute This house is one of a pair of similar houses perched up the cliffs at Innellan, though there are many similar type of houses in this area. Originally access to the houses was from the sea and a rock at the base of the cliff near the path to the house still has the original metal ring for mooring the boats. These houses were originally holiday summer homes for wealthy merchants / industrialists from Glasgow. A road was constructed on reclaimed land at the base of the cliff to provide an access to the American Naval Base up Loch Striven. |
