Summary
[edit]DescriptionHouse at Tobha Mor - geograph.org.uk - 1371943.jpg |
English: House at Tobha Mor. It seems unlikely that this visually-appealing dwelling is an original black house - it is much higher than most, with a steeply-pitched roof; the mini-version to the left is the more usual height for these buildings, and is in use as a ceramics studio. Reminiscent of the Russian-doll idea, this delightful group contains ever smaller versions as outbuildings (see 6945 for the rear view of the property) - even the greenhouse follows the same design, although obviously its roof is glazed, not thatched! |
