Description
English: Engraving of the facade of the Hôtel de Beauvais (built 1654–1660? to designs by Antoine Le Pautre), shown during the procession on the rue Saint-Antoine which was part of the entry of Louis XIV into Paris at the time of his marriage to Maria Theresa of Spain in 1660. The owner of the hôtel, Catherine-Henriette Bellier, baroness de Beauvais, was first chambermaid to the Queen Mother, Anne of Austria, and both viewed the parade from the balcony.
