Description |
English: The Hotel Pacific was located at 302 2nd Avenue South close to both train stations. Originally known as the Kinnear Block, these two buildings were built from late 1889 to early 1890; the corner building by John R. Kinnear and the adjacent one by his brother George. Having survived the 1949 earthquake with only minor damage, both buildings were unfortunately razed for the current parking lot in 1965 before the Pioneer Square Historic District could be established.
