Description
English: Hotel Maryland in Pasadena, ca.1910
  • Photograph of the exterior view of the Hotel Maryland, on (East?) Colorado Boulevard, in Pasadena, ca.1910.
  • The four-story building, designed by Myron Hunt, features cant windows, vine-covered arcade walkway, and a square tower. The entrance is covered with an extended awning that extends from the door to the sidewalk on the street -- about 30 feet. The walls of the first floor are covered in vines.
  • A horse-drawn carriage is parked in front of the building on the dirt road. Several ladies are seen standing next to utility poles, which line the streets.
