Summary
[edit]DescriptionHotel Bristol Bad Gastein 01.jpg |
English: Built in 1912 and 1927 the Hotel Bristol was a health resort. The Kokisch familiy who owned the hotel managed the house keeping jewish-orthodox rules. In 1938 the Nationalsocialists forced the jewish owners to leave house and country. During the pogrom in November 1938 the hotel was damaged by the mob and things have been taken away illegally. The property was put up for compulsory auction and sold to the german police far below its real value. After that the hotel was used as a health resort for the german police.1945 and 1946 US troups and UNRRA were using the house. Later the house was given back to the original owners. Since then the house was owned by varying persons. Today the house is in private ownership and the hotel is closed. |
