English: Exterior of the Hotel Bristol in Bristol, Virginia / Tennessee. Surrounding text reads (in part):
"The facilities of Bristol were largely enhanced when some three years ago the doors of the Hotel Bristol were first opened to the travelling public. The hotel was built by a company composed of a number of the city's business men and capitalists, who realized that the time and conditions were ripe for Bristol to have a first-class hotel. About two years ago the hotel was leased to the Hotel Bristol Co., Inc., the proprietor being Mr. J. A. Newcomb, and his son Mr. W. A. Newcomb is manager. The Hotel Bristol is an imposing structure of five floors, and it is located in the very heart of the city, convenient to the business establishments, and near to the railroad, but sufficiently apart so as to avoid all annoy- ances of noise, dirt and other disagreeable features." |
