Summary
[edit]DescriptionHorkstow Bridge - geograph.org.uk - 795037.jpg |
English: Horkstow Bridge Third in a series of three pictures of young men jumping into the chilly River Ancholme from Horkstow Bridge on one of the first warm days of the year. I did take a picture of seven or eight of them jumping in at once but sadly it was too overexposed to be worth keeping. The small suspension bridge was built in 1844 by Sir John Rennie providing easy access to brick kilns which once stood on the banks of the river. There is no longer a road at the western end of the bridge. |
