Summary
[edit]DescriptionHood Street Gyratory, 1985 - geograph.org.uk - 442809.jpg |
English: Hood Street Gyratory, 1985 Hood Street Gyratory was the busiest bus interchange in Liverpool in the 1970s and 1980s, known colloquially as the "bubble bus stops". The road layout has now been modified quite substantially to segregate buses from other traffic and pedestrians, and the area is now known as Queen's Square. Loading of vehicles is now supervised by Transport Executive operatives so that chaotic scenes such as this are no more. |
