Detailed view of the posterior leg basitarus (internal view) of a honney bee (Apis mellifera) worker. This part is called the "pollen brush" and is used to "brush" the pollen from the whole body. At the extremity of the tibia you can also see the "rastellum" that is used collect the pollen from the pollen brush and to transfer it to the pollen press (articulation between the tibia and basitarsus).
