We recently visited Hong Kong China mainly to see relatives. I lived in Hong Kong for ~8 years, left in 1991 and never came back until now, 25 years later. Where does the time go?!! Certainly am getting to that age where memories were from more than twenty some odd years ago. It was good to see relatives, both hers and mine. Glad that I was able to take the missus to where I used to live (building still stands) and where I went to school (also still there, but building was heavily renovated). Hong Kong sure has changed quite a bit in 25 years, but certain things have stayed the same. I remember a very dirty and cramped Hong Kong and the places that I visit definitely still are haha. The clean tourist Hong Kong is much improved and very Westernized. In this picture is a look at the Hong Kong Island skyline at night across the Victoria Harbour from Tsim Sha Tsui. I'm very happy to see the Star Ferry still running. There used to be a harbour not far from where I lived and took it quite often. That one is now shutdown and the land reclaimed a long time ago.
