Description

Honeycomb lung

Dilated spaces separated by thick bands of fibrous connective tissue and resembling a bee's honeycomb. Thin-walled emphysematous bullae are seen at the apex of this lobe. Honeycomb lung is a common end stage of many types of chronic fibrosing interstitial lung diseases.
