Description
Español: Homenaje a Europa, monumento conmemorativo en la avenida Jacinto Benavente, Málaga, España. El monumento se encuentra frente al pabellón deportivo de Ciudad Jardín y fue inaugurado en 1986 coincidiendo con la designación de Málaga como una de las sedes del mundial de baloncesto celebrado ese año en España. Ejecutado de forma sumamente simple, se materializa en forma de una estela estriada por su parte trasera y sesgada por su extremo superior, cuya cara frontal exhibe doce surcos dispuestos en escala decreciente bajo una corona de doce estrellas, símbolo de la Unión Europea. En una placa metálica situada en la parte frontal se lee la siguiente inscripción: «La ciudad de Málaga / celebra, junto a toda / España, el ingreso en / la C. E. E. y saluda / fraternalmente a todas las ciudades de Europa».
