The ASSOCIATED TILEMANUFACTURERS Time, work and energy are conservedand sanitary excellence assured at alltimes by tiling the laundry. The Tidy Qarage For Fine Cars Tiled floors and walls are requisites inthe complete garage for fine cars if the interiorof this building is to be of utmost use andattractiveness. The tiled floor absorbs neither grease norgasoline, nor anything else, and cleans easily,no matter what has been spilled or trackedupon it. And tiled floor and walls afford fire-proof protection to cars and whatever may beleft in them. The tiled garage is economical, not onlybecause of its fireproof and easy-cleaningqualities, but also because it is durable andrequires no upkeep. It lasts, in good condition, without repair or refinishing. With reasonable attention a garagewith tiled floor and walls always pre-sents a tidy and attractive appearance.

The ASSOCIATED TILEMANUFACTURERS The garage needs tiling for the sake ofattractiveness as much as for utili-tarian reasons. Tiles for the Exterior With the development of the stucco house, there has arisen demand for a satisfactorymethod of adding the decorative touch, andtiles, because of the range of colors they offer, and because of their durability, were quicklyrecognized as the right material for this purpose. Introducing color by use of tiles is archi-tecturally and artistically correct, because ofthe basic relationship of these materials andbecause there are available in the wide range oftiles textures and finishes to correspond withany stucco treatment. Varying the appearance of the stuccoexterior has been accomplished with tiles invarious ways. Tiled gables, arches, pediment, and panels are appropriate because based onprecedent; the lower story may be tiled, or afrieze or band may be used in a purely orna-mental way. Wherever in this connection coloris desired, tiles are proper
