Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Home of William Ritschel, Marine Artist, Carmel by the Sea, California. A stone building with a fireplace stands inside a tone wall with the Pacific Ocean beyond on the right. Ritschel began work on this home in 1918. This warm Real Photo postcard image is fading, with the number zS 383 in the bottom right corner. On the back the brand of photographic paper used to develop the card is shown in the design of the stampbox. This type of Dops paper was manufactured from 1925-1942. Photographer "Zan" Stark worked from the 1920s to around 1952, using the name "Zan of Tamalpais" or the letter "z" with an elongated "S" and a sequential number.
