English: Holywell Junction railway station (site), Flintshire Opened in 1848 by the Chester & Holyhead Railway, later part of the London & North Western Railway, this station closed in 1966. View north west towards Mostyn and Holyhead. The station building was still standing when this image was taken, but is hidden in the trees to the left - see SJ1977 : View from a Chester-Holyhead train - site of Holywell Junction station. Between 1912 and 1957 this was the junction for the one mile branch to Holywell Town station. |
