Summary
[edit]DescriptionHolyoke City Hall, Windsor Hotel, and Holyoke Opera House 1887.jpg |
English: Visible from left to right, the Holyoke City Hall, the Windsor Hotel, and the Holyoke Opera House, as seen in 1887. William Whiting had privately constructed the hotel and venue from 1877 to 1878, during his election and tenure as mayor.
This scene only appeared with the three from 1878 until 1899, when the Windsor burned down in a large fire, taking some of the adjacent commercial blocks with it. |
