| Description |
English: The holy icon of the Theotokos, that is the Virgin Mother and her child, Jesus. The icon is displayed in Máriapócs, Hungary and it is one of the most venerated painting in the country. The Virgin Mother of the icon started to drop tears from her eyes two times in the history and many miracles are connected to this painting.
This picture was taken in Hajdúdorog when the holy icon was moved to the town's Greek Catholic cathedral because the renovation of the interior of the basilica of Máriapócs started. During this period the white cloth and all the jewelry was removed from the painting. Magyar: A kép a máriapócsi Istenszülő ikonját ábrázolja. A kegykép Máriapócson látható, és az ország egyik legfontosabb kegyképe. A képnek több csodát is tulajdonítottak, és története során kétszer is könnyezni kezdett a máriapócsi Szűz Anya. A kép Hajdúdorogon készült, amikor a kegyképet a város görög katolikus székesegyházába vitték át, ugyanis a kegyképet a máriapócsi bazilika belsejének felújítása miatt nem tudták volna kellően megóvni eredeti helyén. Ezalatt az idő alatt a kegyképről eltávolították a fehér ruhát és az összes ékszert is. |
