Summary
[edit]DescriptionHoly Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (Holyoke, Massachusetts 1918).png |
English: The Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of the South Holyoke neighborhood of Holyoke, Massachusetts, as it appeared a year after its dedication, in 1918. The congregation's origins predate the church, traced back to about 1900. The building's design was drafted by Kyriakos Kalfas of New York City, who based it on the Church of the Pantocrator in Patras, Greece, modifying construction to adapt it to the colder weather of New England, using welded steel plates to construct the domes rather than traditional wooden construction.
Ελληνικά: Ελληνική Ορθόδοξη Εκκλησία της Αγίας Τριάδας, Χόλιοκ, Μασαχουσέτη. |
