English: Holwaya mucida
The fungus has two forms (cycles) of reproduction - asexual (conidial, anamorphic) and sexual (perfect, telemorphic). The first of them is sometimes found in the special literature under the name of an independent species - Pocklike shaped (Crinula caliciiformis). First we give a description of it. The fruit body (conidioma) consists of a head and a leg. The head is 2.0–3.0 mm high and 1.0–1.5 mm thick, oval-round, sticky, mucous (characteristic feature), milky-white or mouse-gray. Leg 6–15 mm long and 2–4 mm thick, columnar, often curved, sometimes slightly widened in the middle part, fine-grained, uneven, rough, in the upper part with white “stains”, black, sometimes blackish-brown at the bottom. Conidia are elliptical, smooth, translucent, isolated or agglomerated, measuring 2.7 x 1.6 microns, carried by raindrops or wind. The fruit body in the telemorphic form of sporulation (apothecium) with a diameter of 2-15 mm and a height of 8-10 mm, saucer-shaped, obstructive, prostrate, umbiliform in the center. The internal sporiferous surface (hymenophore) is smooth or finely striated, black. The outer sterile surface is small-wrinkled, pubescent, olive-brown or black. Bags (aski) clavate with eight disputes. The spores are irregularly cylindrical, filiform, translucent or with greenish drops, 35-65 x 2.5-4.0 microns in size. The foot is cone-shaped, fine-ribbed, gradually dying off towards the base. The flesh is tough, black, with an expressionless smell and taste. It grows from mid-July to early October in deciduous and mixed forests on decaying hardwood, prefers linden, ash, maple, aspen and poplar, singly or in groups (clusters), rarely. Due to the small size and lack of knowledge, by default, the mushroom is considered inedible. The telemorphic form of Holvay's sporulation by the mucous can be confused with the inedible Bulgaria bulging (Bulgaria inquinans), which has a larger, blyashkovidny or cupped habit, its size reaches 4-5 cm in diameter and 2-4 cm in height. For the first time, a species called - Ditiola mucida was described by an Austrian mycologist Stefan Schulzer von Muggenburg in 1860. Since 1971, the mushroom has a modern name due to the research of American scientists Richard Paul Korf and GS Abawi. Гриб имеет две формы (цикла) размножения – бесполую (конидиальную, анаморфную) и половую (совершенную, телеморфную). Первая из них иногда в специальной литературе встречается под названием самостоятельного вида – Кринула почковидная (Crinula caliciiformis). Вначале приведем ее описание. Плодовое тело (конидиома) состоит из головки и ножки. Головка высотой 2,0-3,0 мм и толщиной 1,0-1,5 мм, овально-круглая, липкая, слизистая (характерный признак), молочно-белого или серого мышиного цвета. Ножка длиной 6-15 мм и толщиной 2-4 мм, колонновидная, часто искривленная, иногда слегка расширенная в средней части, мелкозернистая, неровная, шершавая, в верхней части с белыми «подтеками», черная, внизу иногда черновато-коричневатая. Конидии эллипсовидные, гладкие, полупрозрачные, обособленные или агломерированные, размером 2,7 х 1,6 мкм, разносятся каплями дождя или ветром. Плодовое тело при телеморфной форме спороношения (апотеций) диаметром 2-15 мм и высотой 8-10 мм, блюдцевидное, обратноконическое, распростертое, в центре пупковидное. Внутренняя спороносная поверхность (гименофор) гладкая или мелкобороздчатая, черная. Внешняя стерильная поверхность мелкоморщинистая, опушенная, оливково-коричневая или черная. Сумки (аски) булавовидные с восемью спорами. Споры неравномерно цилиндрические, нитевидные, полупрозрачные или с зеленоватыми каплями, размером 35-65 х 2,5-4,0 мкм. Ножка конусовидная, мелкоребристая, постепенно отмирающая к основанию. Мякоть жесткая, черная, с невыразительным запахом и вкусом. Произрастает с середины июля до начала октября в лиственных и смешанных лесах на гниющей древесине лиственных пород, предпочитает липу, ясень, клен, осину и тополь, одиночно или группами (кластерами), редко. В силу незначительных размеров и недостаточной изученности, по умолчанию, гриб считается несъедобным. Телеморфную форму спороношения Холвеи слизистой можно спутать с несъедобной Булгарией пачкающей (Bulgaria inquinans), у которой более крупный, бляшковидный или чашевидный габитус, ее размеры достигают в диаметре 4-5 см и в высоту 2-4 см. Впервые вид под названием – Ditiola mucida описал австрийский миколог Штефан Шульцер фон Мюггенбург в 1860 году. Свое современное название гриб носит с 1971 года благодаря исследованиям американских ученых Ричарда Пола Корфа и Г.С.Абави. Облигатный синоним (кроме указанного выше) один – Crinula mucida (Schulzer) Sacc. Этимология: родовое монотипное название Holwaya присвоено в честь американского миколога Эдварда Хольвея.
