Description
Nederlands: Holocaustmonument door de Apeldoornse kunstenaar Tirza Verrips, voor de synagoge. Een granieten Torarol met daarop knikkers: 13 grote knikkers die staan voor de 13 mensen die op 9 oktober 1941 zijn afgevoerd naar de concentratiekampen. In totaal zijn het 592 knikkers: één voor elke Apeldoorner die in de Tweede Wereldoorlog is afgevoerd en vermoord in de concentratiekampen.
Het is dan alleen de vraag hoe het zit met de ongeveer 1500 mensen (patiënten en personeel) van de Joodse psychiatrische inrichting 'Het Apeldoornsche Bosch' die in WO II zijn gedeporteerd naar Auschwitz-Birkenau, op 21 januari 1943. Zouden die niet meegeteld zijn?
