Summary

[edit]
Description
English: The Holland Hotel, at the Northeast corner of Fourth Avenue and Jefferson Street, was built in 1909 by the Holland Hotel Company. Seaquist & Arnot (who only practiced in the city during 1909; see the Richard M. Hudson House apts at 1712 Summit Ave for one of their surviving projects) were the architects and Otto Roseleaf (a member of the hotel company) was the contractor. Originally designed to carry 10-floors, only six were built initially, with two floors added in 1930, adding 42 rooms to the 160 room hotel. The Holland and everything else on the block was demolished in 1968 for the King County Administration Building.
