English: Japan Ground Self-Defense Force Reserve Component candidates from the 117th Training Battalion, JGSDF, hold tight to their head gear as a UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter from U.S. Army Japan's Aviation Battalion descends for a landing at Sagami General Depot, Japan, Nov. 19, 2015. Earlier that day, the candidates flew from the 117th Training Battalion headquarters in Camp Takeyama, Japan, participated in a series of training events that culminated into a bilateral engagement conducted by the Army Reserve Engagement Team-Japan. ARET-J packed the day with presentations, walking tours and hands-on weapons familiarization that immersed the candidates in the culture and capabilities of their American allies.
