Summary
[edit]DescriptionHolborn, The Cochrane Theatre, WC1 - geograph.org.uk - 665975.jpg |
English: Holborn: The Cochrane Theatre, WC1 Named after its founder Jeannetta Cochrane, who was a theatre practitioner specialising in costume and scenery design, the theatre was built in 1964 attached to the Central School of Arts and Craft where Jeannetta worked. It was through her persistence that London County Council Education Authority were persuaded to build the theatre. Today the theatre is owned and operated by the University of the Arts London, which acts as an umbrella organization for five leading London Art Colleges, including Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, which is next door to the right. The theatre has obviously had a make-over since 398437 was photographed in November 2006. |
