Description
English: Hogenakkal Falls is situated in Dharmapuri,Tamil Nadu.

It is one of the most beautiful landscapes in India.This is the view from the top of a tower which is submerged at a depth of around 100 feet in Monsoon. The falls get its name from two Kannada words 'hoge' and 'kal' which means smoke and rock respectively.It means that the rocks produces smoke when water falls on it.

People generally involve in boating,fishing or film shooting in safer places beyond the range of the heavy waterfalls.Some of the famous India movies like Raavan,Roja has been shot in this wonderful place.
