Centsprent met 4 x 4 niet omkaderde houtgravures, met afbeeldingen van een kind dat door de opvoeders van jongs af aan voor alles bang wordt gemaakt: een zwarte man, een bietebauw, een schoorsteenveger, de ganzen, onweer, spoken, enz. Als soldaat redt hij het dan ook niet, hij deserteert en 'nu jaagt men hem, zooals 't behoort, voor 't heele front als lafaard voort.' Op de afbeelding heeft hij hazenoren. Bevat tweeregelige rijmende onderschriften. Alleen de eerste en laatste teksten hebben zes regels.
