Description
English: Open land on the western shore of the Tennessee River south of Dayton in Rhea County, Tennessee, United States. This land was once occupied by the Hiwassee Garrison, a U.S. Army fort built in connection with the nearby Blythe Ferry during the process of Indian removal. The location is now an archaeological site; it has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
