HIV-1 infection process at atomic detail

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: HIV-1 infection process at atomic detail shows the viruses approaching and interacting with the T cell membrane. The receptors of HIV-1 (envelope glycoproteins) are shown interacting with the T cell receptors (a4b7 integrin, cd4, ccr5). This image has been created with Chimera software in a high performance computer. For more information see the publication of 2017: Glycosylation and oligomeric state of envelope protein might influence HIV-1 virion capture by α4β7 integrin.
