It is earnestly desired that as many as possible of the Sons andDaughters of this City, who have sought homes and fortune in otlierplaces, shall return and join with the present citizens of their nativeplace in a grand re-union, in order that youthful associations maybe revived, earlv friendships renewed and strengthened, and newones formed. W^e therefore extend to you a liearty invitation to bepresent and unite with us in the festivities of the occasion. Many ot the chilchen of Newport are widely scattered, and it isimpossible to ascertain the names and addresses of all. vShould youknow of any whose names have not occurred to the Committee, ^ouwill oblige us 1)\- extending to them acordial in\ itation to be present. Books will be provitled at the City Ilall for the registration ofnames, and every ))erson so registering will be furnished with somedistinguishing badge to secure proper recognition in all (he ceremo-nies of the day.
