There inthe soft, white sand the poor fellows prayed—prayed toGod to protect their wives and children, their fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters—prayed to God to sendthem home safe to those dear ones they had left behind. After Mass, Father Mullen preached an excellent ser-mon, and during that time there were very few dry eyes. Our chaplain is in good health.
