llowing accountof the event: The Ninths business meeting was held in a picnicbuilding in the grove. It was called to order by Capt.Garry T. Scott, Hartford. Capt. Curtis, cashier of abank in Tidioute, state of Pennsylvania, and formerly ofBridgeport, Ct., was made chairman of the meeting andpresident of the association for the year ensuing. Lieut.Wm. Gleeson, New Haven, was appointed correspondingsecretary, and Lieut. OKeefe, of New Haven, recordingsecretary. Col. J. G. Healy was nominated for vice-president but declined, and Capt. Lawrence OBrien, ofNew Haven, was appointed. Father Daniel Mullen, ofNorwich, who was the first chaplain of the regiment, wasappointed chaplain. Geo. Cook, of Bridgeport, treasurer, was reappointedas such. The following, on motion of Dr. Gallagher,were appointed the executive committee for the ensuingyear, after some discussion in reference to the next re-union: Dr. Rollin McNeil, New Haven; Sergeant Hill,Bridgeport; Capt. IVAJ^ OF THE REBELLION, 1861-1863. 209 authorized to confer with a corresponding committeefrom the Twelfth, with reference to holding a joint re-union. Lieut. Gleeson read the minutes of last yearsmeeting in the absence of lieut. Curtis, brother of thechairman. The subject of ascertaining the whereaboutsof each and every survivor of the regiment was discussedand referred temporarily. Geo. Cook, of Bridgeport,treasurer, read the financial report, showing a small sumin the treasury. On motion of Capt. OBrien, it was voted to requestthe chaplain to ascertain the names of the dead of theregiment. It was agreed that the work would be quite atask for the reverend gentleman, but it was also agreedthat each veteran lighten the labor by furnishing such in-formation as was in his knowledge upon the subject.Letters were read by the secretary last year from Mr.Anderson, of Hamburg; George W.
