Mr. Lemmon married, Dec. 15, 1915, in St. AndrewsEpiscopal Church, of Pittsburgh, Harriet DeForestHaskell, daughter of Ledyard S. and Jean Rider (De-Forest) Haskell, of this city, and they have two chil-dren : Jean Elizabeth and Harriet Haskell Lemmon.Mr. Lemmons city residence is at No. 6429 Bartlettstreet, and his summer home at Geneva-on-the-Lake,Ohio. BIOGRAPHICAL 195 Mr. Affeldt was born in Lansing, Mich., in 1887, and isa son of John M. and Rose V. (Bauman) Affeldt, hisfather being a merchant of that city. The boy receivedhis education in the grammar and high schools of Lan-sing, then took one year at business college. A businesscareer was the future that appealed to him, and thebusiness of the day was automobiles. For several yearshe traveled for the Oldsmobile Company in their Lan-sing district, with ever increasing success. In August,1915, he became associated with the Oldsmobile Com-pany of Pittsburgh, then, in 1916, was made secretary-treasurer and general manager of the B. W. LemmonCompany, who are now distributors of the Cole AeroEight cars. This company is one of the leading auto-mobile firms of Pittsburgh. Mr. Affeldt is a memberof the Pittsburgh Board of Trade and the Chamber ofCommerce, the Pittsburgh Athletic Association, and thePittsburgh Automobile Club; he attends the Point BreezePresbyterian Church.
