PETER DAWE. Peter Dawe. devoting his entiri attention to the moving picture business, in whichconnection he operates two theatres in Bridgeport, was born in England, October 20, 1862,and had reached the twenty-second milestone on lifes journey when he crossed the Atlanticand came to the United States in 1884, settling in New Y^ork. He had previously learnedthe painters trade, which he followed in tlie eastern metropolis for a time but afterwardreturned to England. In ISHti, liowever, he once more came to the ITnited States and onthis occasion took up his abode in Bridgeport. The following year he established businesson his own account as a dealer in jiaints and a contractor in the ;)ainting business.
