Description
Deutsch: Johann Rudolf Feyerabend: Basler Totentanz oder Tod von Basel, 1806, Aquarellzeichnung, Historisches Museum Basel, nach einem spätmittelalterlichen Wandbild, 1439/40 (1805 zerstört), das sich an der Innenseite des Laienfriedhofes des Predigerklosters in Basel befand.
English: Danse Macabre of Basel, watercolor copy by Johann Rudolf Feyerabend, 1806. This copy is shown in Historisches Museum Basel. The (destroyed) origin was a mural of Predigerkloster (Basel), first half of 15th century. Thanks for Vassil's high resolution photographs; the shades should match together.
