Description
Deutsch: Der Brunnen des Landguts Wangensbach wurde 1790 errichtet. Im Hintergrund das Oekonomie-Gebäude (denkmalgeschützt). Das 1624 von Seiden-Grosskaufmann und -fabrikant Beat Werdmüller (1583–1640) erstellte, 1669 vom Zürcher Bürgermeister Hans Caspar Hirzel erworbene und 1673 zum Schloss ausgebaute Landgut ging zwischen 1790 und 1795 in den Besitz des späteren Landrichters Hans Jacob Boller (1764—1822), Sohn des gleichnamigen Vorbesitzers, eines Küsnachter Geschworenen (=Mitglieds des Gemeinderats) und Allmosenpflegers, über.
English: The fountain on the Wangensbach estate was built in 1790. In the background is the Oekonomie building (listed building). The estate, built in 1624 by silk merchant and manufacturer Beat Werdmüller (1583-1640), acquired in 1669 by Zurich mayor Hans Caspar Hirzel and converted into a castle in 1673, became the property of the later district judge Hans Jacob Boller (1764-1822), son of the previous owner of the same name, a Küsnachter member of the municipal council and "Allmosenpfleger", between 1790 and 1795.
